The Original Design

Along with mindmaps and takeaway, it was settled on by the team to design a peacock soapbox. We chose a peacock to create a magnificent and memorable impact on the race... Who could forget peacok feathers flying down the track? Initially idealised by Georgia, she hand drew the above design in one evening; totalling only a two night design process. As such the soapbox was aptly named "Wingin' It".

Our Soapbox come to life!

Minus only its googly eyes added minutes before the race, this was our soapbox in all her glory, before she zoomed down the AllyPally track.
Her bamboo base prooved somewhat wobbly along the track but she survived all the way, albeit with a few scrapes here and there.
